GET THE MOST OUT OF THE TRAINING CENTER

In order to get the most benefit from the information provided in the EG Training Center, do the following:

  1. STEP 1 - Select the area you are interested in learning more about (click on the icon).

  3. STEP 3 - Open the power point presentation and view the slide show.
ASSESSMENT ADMINISTRATION

Begin by reviewing the Administrator's Powerpoint and/or Administrator's Manual. Whether you are responsible for conducting the assessments or will be receiving the reports, the Administrator's Manual and power point presentation will give you a greater understanding of the process. Everything from how to request codes and prepare your candidate to accessing the assessment site, plus many more are answered in these two resources.

SELECTION

The Personnel Report (PR), Sales Personnel Report (SPR) and Managment Interview Guide are valuable tools, that when used in conjunction with other sources of data (reference checking and personal interview) can assist with those necessary for success in a specific role.

You can use the information found in these reports to help make better judgements, to select the most qualified candidate. As you consider the position you are trying to fill, evaluate what sort of behaviors you want the person to have. By staying within a range of scores, versus trying to match exact scores, you can understand any potential limitations a person may have.

These reports are a guide; do not try to over complicate it. Let the reports confirm your thoughts about the candidate and guide you away from potential problem areas. You will never hire a perfect person. Everyone you hire will have "gifts" and "limitations". You are trying to confirm that their assets outweigh their liabilities.


Personnel Report

The Personnel Report helps match people with suitable jobs by providing a concise description of a candidate’s work-related personality characteristics and scores on various scales associated with job performance. It also provides an objective way to promote qualified employees.It has the following sections to help you make sound hiring decisions based on objective data:

  • Areas of Potential Concern - helps spot potential risk factors that could derail an individual’s ability to perform a specific job.
  • Performance Factors - rates 4 critical characteristics as they relate to job performance and relevance to long-term success and commitment.
  • Work-Related Personality Description - discusses in detail the performance factors citing both gifts and limitations of your potential candidate.
  • Primary Personality Factors - shows an easy to read graph of a candidate’s scores on the 16 major work-related personality factors.

Sales Personnel Report 2.0

DEVELOPMENT

The Manager Development Report (MDR), Salesperson Development Report (SDR), and 360 are generated from the results of the 16PF Questionnaire. The intent of this process is to assist in personal and professional development. The aim is to reflect how an individual reports himself/herself in comparison to other highly successful salespersons and managers.

A dimension of highly successful salespeople and managers is that they are willing to listen for areas where they can continuously improve. They tend not to be defensive but open to the input and take a realistic look at their strengths and areas of development.

This feedback process increases awareness by helping confirm the areas in which an individual is performing well. It also identifies possible limitations that require development.

Begin by printing a copy of the MDR or SDR and follow along with the power point presentation.


Manager Development Report

Often those that excel on the job are promoted to management positions.  Unfortunately being good at a job doesn’t automatically guarantee success as a manager.  The Manager Development Report will show how key characteristics align with other successful managers.  Exercises and activities round out this “how to” development tool.  First time Managers or those wanting to get to the next level can use this report as a valuable guide for self evaluation and self improvement.
