Rick Tiemann, President

Rick Tiemann started The Executive Group in 1991 to help organizations develop their human capital and business development needs. He has over 34 years of business experience, having owned three businesses and has worked in both national and international arenas.

His background encompasses business development with experience in mergers and acquistions as well as turnarounds with an emphasis on developing human capital. At the age of 24 he purchased his first company, and by the age of 28 he had started 2 more. He has held major responsibilities in both small and large companies. His sales and management background includes positions as Director of Sales and Marketing, and V.P. Sales and Marketing. In addition, he has international sales experience as the Asian Business Development Manager for a worldwide electronics manufacturer.

He has acted as a behavioral coach to executives, managers, sales people, and supervisors. He has worked with assessment instruments for over 15 years focusing on interpretation, and application of the 16PF instrument. He has interviewed and interpreted 16PF assessments for more than 2,000 individuals.

In addition, Rick is also a Keynote Speaker providing informational, motivational, relevant and entertaining programs to civic group and associations for workshops, luncheons and retreats throughout the country.

Sue Russell, General Manager

Sue Russell joined The Executive Group in 1997 and is currently the General Manager handling the operation functions for the company. She specializes in training companies on how to develop and administer an effective selection and development process on behalf of their organization. She has worked with assessments for the past 11 years with a focus on the application of the 16PF instrument as a part of a balanced selection process. She has also guided and counseled many organizations on the use of assessments in the development of their current staff.

Sue understands that each organization has different objectives and therefore, different needs. She researches and works closely with each client to ensure that the products and services provided by The Executive Group address their unique situation. She backs this up with an extensive training program making certain that each client is able to utilize the products to their fullest potential. With an emphasis on customer service, Sue ensures that each client receives the level of attention that enables them to realize optimum benefits from our products.

In addition, Sue is responsible for the development of the workshops, webinars and other training opportunities offered by The Executive Group to our business partners. As an accomplished presenter, Sue also conducts many of the training sessions and webinars.

She has a B.S. in Science and Math Teaching from Western Michigan University.

Gordon Medlock, Talent Management Consultant & Executive Coach

Gordon is an accomplished executive coach, life coach, and talent management consultant with over 20 years' experience. His executive coaching approach includes a thorough talent assessment process, utilizing the 16PF and other behavioral and competency assessment tools to evaluate skills and abilities, personality characteristics, and relationship factors that facilitate successful managerial performance. He also has in-depth knowledge and experience working with group dynamics and facilitating group and team effectiveness.

He has worked with over 50 businesses, government and nonprofit agencies over the past 10 years. He has specialized in talent assessment, competency and job modeling, and goal management using balanced scorecard methodologies.

As Talent Management Consultant and Executive Coach, Gordon works with support consulting and coaching efforts in the areas of executive assessment, team building, and coaching.

Gordon holds a Ph. D. from Yale University and a M.A. from the University of Chicago, both with a major focus in psychology. He also co-developed a life coaching training model at the Wright Institute, and developed curriculum for the University of Chicago Graham School certificate programs in nonprofit performance management and human capital management.

Jay Lewis, Vice President of Sales

After 38 years as president of his own company Jay has joined the Executive Group as vice president of sales.

He has worked with over 600 companies including Mitsubishi Semi Conductor, Howmet, NiSource, TRW, Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, Keihin Precision Technologies, and many others on their leadership development initiatives.
 
He has a very strong background with employee development in the areas of attitude, self-esteem, communications, team building, problem solving and goal setting.

Jay is a graduate of Indiana University School of Business and has taught on the campuses of Purdue Calumet, Indiana University-Kokomo, Huntington College, Manchester College and the Maritime Institute.

He has co-led programs in Japanese, Spanish and Arabic.

Jodie Wexelberg, Promotions Manager

Jodie Wexelberg has over fifteen years experience in promotions, marketing and special events. She has worked in professional sports for the NBA’s Orlando Magic, the Northern League’s Gary SouthShore RailCats and Division IA collegiate athletics at the University of Central Florida.

As the Promotions Manager, Jodie handles the marketing, promotions and community relations activities for The Executive Group.

She has a B.S. in Sports Management and a M.S. in Athletic Administration from The Florida State University.

Debbie Goodrich, Account Manager/Website Manager

Debbie Goodrich has over 25 years of experience in the areas of administrative support, customer service, property management and web design. She has also owned a web-based retail company that produced specialty items and still designs web sites for various retail companies.

Debbie is responsible for creating and maintaining the website and web related activities as well as providing account management and customer service support for The Executive Group.

Debbie has attended Ivy Tech and Purdue University.

Patsy Tiemann, Support Staff

Patsy Tiemann has twenty-one years of experience as a nurse for a general practitioner, and 19 years as a school nurse for East Porter County School system, and 8 years as a staff nurse at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso, IN; 2 years in the newborn intensive care unit,

Patsy provides support on behalf of the day-to-day operations at The Executive Group.

She graduated from St. Mary Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.
